At least two people were killed, two more were injured in an oil tanker explosion on the Kabul River in eastern Afghanistan. According to local meadi, the explosion occurred on Tuesday at 6.00 am (local time) near the city of Jalalabad near the customs of the province of Nangarhar.
The cause of the explosion was a bomb attached to an oil tanker. The local officials told that the incident took place on Jalalabad-Torkham highway early Tuesday morning after a remote-control bomb blasted which was planted in the oil tanker. Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman of Governor told media that two persons were killed and two were injured in the blast.
He added that more than thirty shops caught fire after the blast ripped through the oil tanker. Kabul River in eastern Afghanistan. No individual or group including the Taliban and ISIS insurgents has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
